Annual General Meeting set for November 23

The Board of Directors for the New West Progressives met this week to set the date for the 2021 Annual General Meeting. The AGM will now take place online on Tuesday, November 23rd from 5 pm to 7 pm.

\”This will likely be the last annual general meeting prior to the next civic election,\” says Daniel Fontaine, President of the NWP. \”The next major gathering of our membership and supporters is planned for next spring when we will be nominating candidates for Mayor, Council and School Board.\”

The Board also announced it will be organizing the Countdown to 2022 fundraising event on Wednesday, November 17th. It will be the first major fundraising event for the NWP campaign and sets the stage for what will be a very active year in 2022.

The NWP also approved funding to undertake an online candidate recruitment campaign which will kick off this fall. A digital advertising campaign will begin in the Record newspaper as well as social media outlets starting in October.
