The Board of Directors for the New West Progressives (NWP) is pleased to unveil a new logo for the elector organization. Last year the NWP commenced a process to develop a new three-year strategic plan which included the development of a new brand.
\”We had less than twelve months to develop a logo and nominate a slate of candidates back in 2017/18 when we got established just prior to the civic election,\” says President Daniel Fontaine. \”After the election we were able to develop our 2020-22 Strategic Plan which included the unveiling of a new look for our elector organization. I\’m thrilled with what our volunteers have come up with. It looks fresh, dynamic and representative of our grassroots movement in New West.\”
The new logo has a green, blue and grey colour scheme which aims to reflect our ongoing commitment to progressive values, the environment as well as fiscal and social sustainability. The new logo launch coincides with a redesign of the NWP website.
\”We\’ll be hosting our next annual general meeting on Thursday, April 16th and we\’re encouraging our members and residents of the community to hear about some of our outreach plans leading up the the civic election in 2022,\” says Fontaine. \”The election is literally around the corner and work has already begun to attract a full slate of candidates. We intend to ramp up our community engagement over the next 24 months which we hope will bring about significant change at city hall and the school board.\”
