The New West Progressives released their school board candidate campaign platform today.
Similar to the NW Progressives city council candidates, the school board trustees have prepared their document by gathering feedback from the community.
\”Our platform has been developed with input, feedback and guidance from parents, guardians, teachers, administrators, students and community members who have come forward with a wide range of ideas, comments, issues and concerns,\” says NW Progressives school board trustee candidate Cyrus Sy. \”This approach has enhanced its creation and reflects our desire to work in an open, collaborative approach in the best interest of all students in order to help them thrive and meet their fullest potential.\”
The school board trustee platform is comprised of six priority themes:
- Communications and Engagement
- Health, Wellness and Safety
- Inclusion and Accessibility
- Fiscal Responsibility and Transparency
- Innovation and Excellence in Learning
- Environmental Sustainability
\”We are committed to putting the needs of all students first as independent, passionate community members and parents,\” added fellow school board trustee candidate Lisa Falbo. \”Our platform reflects the positive changes we think the school district needs in order for our children to receive the proper education they deserve.\”
